A Carnyx is an old Celtic wind instrument, almost two meters in lenght. The 'bronze trumpet' was shaped like an S, the end often styled in the shape of an open-mouthed boar's head.
The sound was fear-inducing, so it was often used in warfare, but also in ritual celebrations, where it could send the listener into a trance. One or the other intoxicant may have been used to intensify the experience.
Comes with two mouthpieces so it can be used at home and on the road.
