EGM Empyrean Range Now in Stock at GQ Tobaccos

We’re delighted to announce that the EGM Empyrean Range is now officially in stock at GQ Tobaccos: a release that has been eagerly anticipated since its UK debut last autumn.

I’ve had the pleasure of smoking many cigars from the Empyrean range already, and I was also fortunate enough to attend the UK launch party at The Emory Hotel in London in October last year. It was an unforgettable evening and a fitting introduction to what is, without question, EGM’s most premium line to date.

A Night to Remember at The Emory

The UK launch took place at The Emory’s exclusive cigar sampling lounge in Knightsbridge which is an exceptional venue that perfectly matched the tone of the evening. With a black-tie dress code and a room full of familiar faces from the UK cigar community, the atmosphere felt electric from the moment we arrived.

EGM truly pulled out all the stops. From impeccable hospitality to beautifully curated details throughout the space, it was clear this wasn’t just a cigar launch - it was a statement. At the heart of the evening stood a striking cigar carousel, fully stocked with the new Empyrean cigars and acting as a real focal point for the room.

The night offered guests the chance to sample the range, socialise with fellow aficionados, and hear directly from the brand about the philosophy and craftsmanship behind the cigars. It was the perfect setting to experience Empyrean for the first time.

The Empyrean Range

Empyrean is EGM’s most ambitious and refined release so far. The name is derived from the Greek word Empyros, meaning “in the fire”, and in ancient Greek cosmology it referred to the highest heaven; a celestial realm. It’s an apt name for a range that sits firmly at the top end of EGM’s portfolio.

Each cigar in the Empyrean line is aged for five years and produced in very limited quantities using rare, well-aged tobacco from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. They are rolled totalmente a mano by master rollers, with exceptional attention paid to construction, balance, and consistency.

Visually, the cigars make an immediate impression. The design is bold and luxurious, blending classic elegance with a modern edge, and they are presented in striking blue and gold varnished boxes of 10, as well as being available as single cigars.

Empyrean Heraldos

The Heraldos is the shortest cigar in the line, but it certainly doesn’t lack presence. Measuring 130mm with a 55 ring gauge, it delivers a beautifully smooth, medium to full-bodied experience. This was the first cigar I smoked on the night, and it went down an absolute treat - effortless draw, refined flavours, and a profile that reminded me of a classic Cuban style. A superb introduction to the range and one I’d happily revisit time and time again.

Empyrean Praxedes

The Praxedes is the only pyramid format in the range, measuring 145mm with a 57 ring gauge. It offers a slightly different smoking dynamic, with evolving flavours as the cigar progresses. It’s a cigar that rewards time and attention, and one I’ve enjoyed exploring further since the launch.

Empyrean Paraisos

The Paraisos is the longest cigar in the Empyrean series, coming in at 170mm with a 52 ring gauge. Finished with a pigtail cap, it’s an elegant and visually striking cigar. This vitola is ideal for those looking for a longer, more contemplative smoke that allows the aged tobaccos to really shine.

Now Available at GQ Tobaccos

After experiencing the Empyrean range firsthand — both at the launch and since — I’m extremely pleased to now be able to offer these cigars at GQ Tobaccos. They represent everything I look for in a premium cigar: quality, balance, craftsmanship, and character.

Whether you’re already familiar with EGM or discovering the brand for the first time, the Empyrean range is well worth your attention. Stocks are limited, and given the response since the launch, I don’t expect them to hang around for long.

If you’d like any advice on choosing the right vitola for your palate, feel free to get in touch, I’m always happy to help.
