Missouri Meerschaum - Cobbit "Elf"

Product Description

The elf is one of the smaller in the Cobbit range and features a tall and tapered bowl. The pipe is fitted with a hard wood bung in the base and finished with the black wash.

One thing which has been missing from the Missouri Meerschaum range for years is a Churchwarden and after many suggestions from smokers all over the world, they are now a reality. Fitted with long and curved vulcanite mouthpieces, ideal for sitting back and enjoying your favourite book.

Smooth, varnished finish with a curved stem. A little harder wearing compared to the natural model.

Corn cobs have a slightly bad reputation, they are seen as the disposable pipe. A cheap alternative to briar and therefore inferior too, but thats not fair at all. The Missouri Meerschaum pipes are made by hand, using specifically bread corn. The porous husk allows for a dryer smoke, absorbing the moisture and like Clay & Meerschaum smokes very cool. Unlike Briar and other wooden pipes, a carbon cake is not required. The first few smokes have a sweet, nutty taste but after that the pipe holds no background flavours and always gives a pure taste to the tobacco. Many blenders (our self's included) use Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob pipes to sample blends, for the neutral taste.

A churchwarden cob, I thought that would be an impossibility! Well now I own one p, this pipe is well made and balanced nicely. Takes a nice flake or curly without any trouble then is just a sweet little smoke. If you have tried a cob before and then turned your back on them. Think again theses are real well made affordable pipes.
