Auld Kendal (AK) Gold is based on the popular Kendal Gold shag which features in a many of Gawith Hoggarths tobaccos. This mellow blend of new world Virginia tobaccos is Flue Cured, this sweats out some of the nicotine and helps create a sweet and grassy tobacco. Cut at about 1mm in thickness this fine cut tobacco both rolls and smokes very easily. Unlike other similar rolling tobaccos, AK Gold makes use of only a small amount of natural sugars. This helps keep the tobacco fresh, without the use of complex mixtures of chemicals and additives.
