Sometimes a round based pipe is a nightmare, they roll around and often under the table. A few shapes are good for standing up, Pokers, Cherrywoods, Liverpools and the Peterson 306. The 306 is somewhat a larger version of the 304. Making the 306 ideal for those who like to only use one hand when filling and cleaning. Presented in the Peterson Reddy/Brown & Black Rusticated finish, with a nickel band and army (P-Lip) stem.
The Peterson system range has been one of the biggest sellers for Peterson, since it was invented by Charles Peterson at the end of 19th Century. This amazing innovation, results in a cool and dry smoke from a bent pipe. The moisture trap between the bowl and mouthpiece keeps the tobacco dry, cool and reduces the dottle left in the bowl. Charles Peterson also created the P Lip 7 years later; this directs the smoke to the roof of the mouth and avoids painful tongue bite. The Peterson system range uses both the Moisture Trap (System) and P Lip mouthpieces, to which the design has never changed since 1898.
