Product Description
Latakia is what makes an "English" and Squadron Leader is more than just an English. A tobacco which has been blended to perfection, we love this stuff and so do many others. A stunning blend of Orientals, Latakia and Virginia's, both dark and golden. The smoke is silky smooth, with a complex and balanced array of flavours, with every tobacco represented. The creamy, almost sour cream notes of the Turkish, with earthy, woody notes from the darker Virginia's. The more golden Virginia bring a subtle hay note and melds to create a sweet and smoky flavour. Not overly strong in the nicotine department, but the flavours still make for a very satisfying smoke.

One of my favourite all-day tobaccos

From the aroma in the tin to the last puff in the pipe, this is one of my favourite tobaccos. It's really balanced, with a lovely combination of tastes. The Turkish and Latakia in the blend add some delicious complexity to the slight sweetness of the Virginias. Not too strong in terms of flavour or nicotine, but full of flavour and easy to smoke. It's a tad moist straight out of the tin, but so long as it's not packed too tight, I prefer not to dry it, as that looses some flavour, in my opinion. Highly recommended, if you want a tobacco without added flavours.

A superb pipe tobacco blend which I like more every time I smoke some. Moist in the tin and for my taste better once it has been opened and aired out. What I like about this blend is the range of flavours and the lovely sweet creamy thread that ties it all together. One of my all time favorite blends and highly recomended.
