Captain Black Original Pipe Tobacco – 50g Tin

Captain Black Original is one of the world's most recognisable aromatic pipe tobaccos, renowned for its smooth, mellow character and distinctive sweet aroma. A true classic of American pipe tobacco blending, Captain Black Original has remained a favourite among pipe smokers for generations.

This traditional aromatic mixture combines carefully selected Burley, Virginia and Black Cavendish tobaccos, creating a beautifully balanced blend with a naturally smooth and creamy character.

The flavour profile is rich yet approachable, featuring inviting notes of vanilla, caramel, brown sugar and subtle honey, complemented by gentle hints of toasted nuts and the natural sweetness of the tobacco. The Black Cavendish contributes a soft, mellow sweetness, while the Burley adds a slightly nutty depth and the Virginia provides a delicate underlying brightness.

Captain Black Original is particularly well known for its pleasant room note, offering a warm, sweet aroma dominated by vanilla and caramel. Its easy-going character and ribbon cut make it a popular choice among those who appreciate traditional American-style aromatic pipe tobaccos.

Presented in a convenient 50g tin, Captain Black Original remains an enduring classic within the Captain Black collection.
