I have had the pleasure of smoking four or five of the Ramon Allones Specialty Selected cigars over the last year. Every one has been a pleasurable experience. These are my thoughts on the one I've just smoked. The following points are relevant to each of the five of these cigars that I have smoked.
Flavour - full. Body - full. Strength - medium.
A nice mid to dark brown smooth wrapper with a lovely sheen. Some thin veins, tight invisible seams and a medium / firm fill. Foot notes of chocolate, hay and cedar.
Perfect draw with a slight resistance.
The 1st third gives notes of wood and spice with a creamy long finish.
The 2nd third flavours really come together giving notes of wood, cream and gingerbread.
Final third gives a very smooth creaminess with notes of sweet chocolate and gingerbread. There are also some nice citrus notes present.
A slight wonky burn appeared around half way, but this righted itself without the need of touching up. All in all a very pleasant, smooth, creamy smoke that lasts 50 to 60 minutes. Definitely a cigar that i will revisit soon.
