Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970 Coronet – 4 x 32
Bold, unapologetic and packed with classic Nicaraguan intensity.

The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970 Coronet is a compact cigar with a powerful personality. The word “Antaño”, meaning yesteryear, pays tribute to the strong, full-flavoured cigars that established Nicaragua’s reputation among seasoned smokers decades ago.

Handcrafted entirely from Nicaraguan-grown tobaccos, the Antaño 1970 range remains one of Joya de Nicaragua’s most celebrated blends. Featuring a Nicaraguan Habano Criollo wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and premium Nicaraguan fillers, this true Nicaraguan puro delivers an unmistakably rich and robust smoking experience.

Despite its smaller 4" x 32 Coronet format, this cigar offers remarkable depth and strength. Expect intense spice, earthy undertones, peppery notes and rich tobacco sweetness, building into a bold, full-bodied profile with a lingering finish. The compact size concentrates the flavours, making it an ideal option when time is limited but a satisfying, powerful smoke is desired.

The Antaño 1970 Coronet is designed for smokers who appreciate traditional, stronger cigars with authentic Nicaraguan character and uncompromising flavour.

    Not disappointed.

Posted by Former Cigar Smoker...now pipe smoker on 18th Jul 2026

As a former cigar smoker who has switched to pipes, at least partly for cost reasons, I added one of these to my basket with my pipe tobacco order from GQ. I was very pleasantly surprised ...lots of strength for a small cigar. Smoked carefully/slowly it had a sweetness and fruitiness. It won't convert me back from being primarily a pipe smoker, but I really enjoyed it.
