The Wise Man Corojo – Foundation Cigar Company

The Wise Man Corojo is more than a cigar – it’s a journey through history, culture, and tradition. Crafted as the first collaboration between Nicholas Melillo (Foundation Cigar Company) and Don Pepin Garcia (My Father Cigars), this line marks the first Foundation release to be produced at the world-renowned My Father factory in Nicaragua. The pedigree alone makes it one of the most anticipated cigars in recent years.

A Cigar with 3,000 Years of Wisdom

The name The Wise Man pays homage to Menelik I, the legendary son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, and the first Emperor of Ethiopia’s Solomonic dynasty. His bloodline ruled Ethiopia for nearly 3,000 years, ending only in 1974 with Emperor Haile Selassie.

But what connects Menelik to Nicaraguan tobacco?
Historical records reveal that in the mid-1500s, enslaved Ethiopians in Nicaragua were among the first non-natives to smoke local cigars, linking Ethiopia’s royal lineage with the roots of Nicaraguan tobacco culture. Smoking The Wise Manties you to this remarkable story – 3,000 years of dynastic knowledge and 450 years of cigar tradition.
