The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Mi Querida Fino Largo is a rich, characterful cigar created by master blender Steve Saka to showcase his passion for dark, flavour-packed Broadleaf blends. Translating literally as “my dearest”, Mi Querida has a rather more provocative meaning in Nicaragua, where the phrase can be used to describe a secret mistress — a fitting name for a cigar designed to be irresistibly indulgent.
At the heart of the blend is a beautifully dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, naturally fermented to develop its distinctive richness and depth. Beneath this sits a Nicaraguan binder and carefully selected Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, producing a robust and satisfying medium-to-full-bodied smoking experience.
From the opening draws, expect generous amounts of dense smoke accompanied by classic Broadleaf flavours of earth, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. A subtle natural sweetness runs through the profile, complemented by touches of black pepper and spice that add further depth without overpowering the blend.
