These cigars are produced in the historic cigar factory in Kampen. They use tobacco from several harvest years in their filler to maintain a constant and pleasant taste. The wrappers are from Sumatra which have a thin, silky structure but are full of flavour with a hint of herbal aroma.

De Olifant still use traditional machines in their cigar making process with their oldest machine dating back to 1888.  

The cigars are presented in a Cedar wood box, 10 cigars per box.

De Olfiant have been rolling some of the finest cigars not only in Holland, but undoubtedly all of Western Europe.  The Netherlands has been at the forefront of the cigar market in Europe since the 1800’s. After establishing colonies in what is now Indonesia and developing the Java and Sumatra tobaccos still used today. De Olifant have been combining tobaccos from both these regions with tobaccos from Cuba and eventually Brazil.

Every De Olifant cigar is machine rolled using using tobaccos aged in the lower levels of the Kampen factory. Once the tobacco is ready to be rolled it is moistened, cut and transported to the upper levels of the factory. On the 2^nd floor the rollers operate traditional machinery, some of which dates back over 100 years. The short filter tobaccos are rolled into the hand cut wrappers, before making their way to the cellar for aging.

The Kampen factory has been producing cigars over the 4 floors since 1825 and pre date most premium cigar brand in existence. If you are looking for touch a class with your small smokes, you cannot go wrong with De Olifant.
