The Crowned Heads Mil Días Edmundo Cigar is a beautifully balanced, medium-to-full-bodied Nicaraguan cigar that showcases the craftsmanship and innovative blending techniques of boutique cigar manufacturer Crowned Heads. Featuring tobaccos from four different countries, the Mil Días Edmundo offers a wonderfully complex smoking experience, combining rich flavours with an exceptionally smooth and creamy character.
The name Mil Días, meaning One Thousand Days in Spanish, refers to the approximately three years spent developing and perfecting this distinctive blend. Created through a collaboration between Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber, master blender Eradio Pichardo and Luciano Meirelles, the Mil Días range was first introduced in 2020.
Handmade at the Tabacalera Pichardo factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Mil Días Edmundo features a beautifully presented Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and a carefully selected combination of filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Peru and Costa Rica. This unusual four-country blend produces an impressive depth of flavour while maintaining a refined and approachable character.
Measuring 5⅜ inches in length with a 52 ring gauge, the Edmundo is a generously proportioned Robusto that provides an excellent balance between smoking time and flavour development.
The cigar opens with inviting notes of sweet cream, toasted nuts and cedar, accompanied by subtle hints of white pepper and baking spices. As the smoke develops, richer flavours of roasted coffee, cocoa and sweet tobacco emerge, complemented by gentle earthy undertones and a delicate natural sweetness.
Throughout the experience, the Mil Días Edmundo maintains an enjoyable balance of creaminess, spice and richness. Its medium-to-full-bodied profile delivers plenty of complexity without becoming overpowering, making it an appealing choice for enthusiasts who appreciate nuanced Nicaraguan cigars.
