A Personal Journey into Cigar Clothing
Several months ago, I had just booked a trip to the Habanos Festival. Like any cigar enthusiast, I was already thinking ahead—not just about the cigars I’d be enjoying, but what I’d be wearing.
I was on the hunt for traditional guayabera shirts—something stylish, breathable, and most importantly, practical enough to carry all my cigar essentials. As any cigar smoker knows, your pockets quickly become overloaded. Between a triple cigar case, cutter, lighter (and a backup lighter—always carry a backup), plus your everyday items like keys, phone, and wallet, it becomes a juggling act.
I spent hours searching online trying to find the perfect solution, but nothing quite hit the mark. I did pick one up from Little Havana in Miami, but it was expensive and not something easily available online.
Then, as luck would have it, everything changed.
Discovering the Sautter Atelier Range
A few weeks later, Laurence Davies from Sautter Cigars got in touch about an exciting new project—cigar clothing designed specifically for enthusiasts like us.
Naturally, I was intrigued.
We arranged to meet in London during a cigar event back in November, where I had the opportunity to see the collection firsthand. The range had been developed in collaboration with his wife, who brings years of experience from the fashion world—and it shows.

From the moment I saw the collection, I knew this was something different.

Fast forward to now, and we’ve just received our first batch of the Sautter Atelier Range here at GQ Tobaccos. This is only the beginning too, with more lines expected to arrive later in the year.
