Kohlhase Kopp’s Pipe 66 is a classic Danish aromatic, comprised of double fermented Black Cavendish strewn with golden Virginia highlights and broken dark flake. This smooth and cool base tobacco is cased with a sticky and highly fragrant Crème de Cassis casing. As soon as you open the unbranded tin, you are greeted with sweet and fruity aroma. Even though this tobacco is a little moister than most aromatics from K&K, it smokes well from the tin, but can benefit from drying out beforehand.

When Solani tobaccos came on the market in the UK many smokers cheered and they realised 660 (Silver Flake) was not in the release. This left many smokers disappointed as they could not get hold of this divine tobacco (Glynn for one!). For those of you who have had a chance to try this tobacco, you have no idea what you are missing out on.
A delicious blend of Red Virginia and dark fired Kentucky. Simple its nature, but deep rich and complex in the pipe. The Dark fired Kentucky gives a deep and cool smoke, with hints of leather and spice. The red Virginia's bring a wonderful sweetness with a little fruitiness. From start to finish this satisfying, with medium amount of nicotine. A must for everyone to try.

Now,I am not normally an aromatic smoker, but I fancied a change around,as everything but Lat bombs are becoming boring.
This was a sample from Glynn.
On opening,it smells like extra strong Ribena, very over the top casing, but nice in a fruity mouthwatering way,but not a smell I usually associate with tobacco.
Feels quite moist, and would probably have benefited with drying out a little, but being impatient,I smoked it anyway.
On the charring light, you get a big burst of fruity, sweet casing, not unpleasant though, just strong flavouring.
It took about 3 lights to get it going, but when it did it burned well.
Throughout the bowl, the fruit casing stays constant, but the quality of the tobacco does shine through.
No tongue bite but it did get a little bitter towards the end of the bowl.
At the end,I did feel I had enjoyed it and I would smoke it again. It would make a good after dinner smoke, maybe after a curry or spicy food.A nice sweet taste to help the palate recover.
