Stainslow are a big and well known tobacco manufacture and retailer in the Czech Republic. Josef (Stanislaw) and Bob (Samuel Gawith) have been friend for years and after several exchanges, decided to create a range of tobaccos. These traditional English flakes had been made to match the four distinct seasons, experience in Britain. Made in the Samuel Gawith factory nestled on the edge of the beautiful Lake District. These tobaccos, does not look, feel or smell like any of the tobaccos produced by SG.
The dark, cold, windy and very wet winters experienced in the UK are ideally suited for Latakia. This dark and pungent tobacco, reaches it peak in a damp and cold climate. This flake is cold pressed and comprises of Virginia’s, Latakia and with the addition of extra sugars. The long press produces a dark flake with a leathery and smoky aroma, it entices the smoker to dive in. Unlike other Samuel Gawith tobaccos, these are packed drier and smoke a lot easier. Once lit this tobacco produces a wonderful aroma of oaky, smoky latakia and a divine sweet Viriginia undertone, which carries through the bowl.
Released in October 2013 and quickly becoming a popular Latakia flake.
