Ilsteds Own - Number 99 (Sweet Taste) - Pipe Tobacco 100g Tin

 99 or “Sweet Taste” as it is known is one of the later addition of the Ilsted range. As with all the Ilsted blends, this supreme quality tobacco is comprised of a complex blend of leaves and finished off with a sweet coffee liqueur. A base of Brown Cavendish is blended with five different Virginias, a little burley and a sprinkling of Black Cavendish. This bold and punchy blend is topped off with a macchiato flavourings. 

Poul Ilsted is one of Denmarks finest pipe makers, his passion for briar and leaf started at around 14 years old. As soon as he left school he went to work with the Iconic Erik NØrding, back then Erik had 7 employees and Poul soon began dreaming of branching out on his own. To this day Ilsted pipes are highly prized among collectors and connoisseurs alike.

As with all those that make pipes, the biggest thrill is smoking them and what better than your own blends. Working with the master blenders at Kohlhase & Kopp, one of Europes most prestigious blending houses. These high quality blends were created with Poul and hand blended using only the finest leaves and natural casing/toppings.
