Ilsteds Own - Number 55 (Fresh Taste) - Pipe Tobacco 100g Tin

The Ilsted 55 “Fresh Taste” has a rich and ripe aroma of fruit cake as soon as you crack the tin. A fluffy blend of Virginia, Burley and Black Cavendish topped off with fragurant aroma of juicy plums and tender vanilla. Not overly wet for a Danish aromatic, so packs easily and is best smoked slowly to maximise the smoking pleasures of premium pipe tobacco.

Poul Ilsted is one of Denmarks finest pipe makers, his passion for briar and leaf started at around 14 years old. As soon as he left school he went to work with the Iconic Erik NØrding, back then Erik had 7 employees and Poul soon began dreaming of branching out on his own. To this day Ilsted pipes are highly prized among collectors and connoisseurs alike.

As with all those that make pipes, the biggest thrill is smoking them and what better than your own blends. Working with the master blenders at Kohlhase & Kopp, one of Europes most prestigious blending houses. These high quality blends were created with Poul and hand blended using only the finest leaves and natural casing/toppings.
